ET1302 portable ballast water fluorescence meter
ET1302 portable ballast water fluorescence meter
Product details
Eurofins has independently developed the first domestically produced indicative rapid ballast water analyzer in accordance with the D-2 standard of the 2004 International Convention for the Control and Management of Ships' ballast water and sediments. It provides compliance tools that meet the discharge standards of the Convention for international navigation vessels, ship owners, port state supervision and inspection departments, ballast water treatment system equipment manufacturers, etc. that install ballast water treatment systems. To contribute to breaking foreign technology blockades and monopolies and safeguarding China's shipping interests.
The ET1302 portable ballast water fluorescence meter is designed for onboard, offshore, and outdoor applications. Ensure reliability and repeatability within the measurement range to meet the requirements of the application. The instrument adopts a waterproof (sprinkler) design, does not require preheating, and uses a No. 7 alkaline battery. Less affected by ambient light and easy to operate. Non destructive measurement of live algae cells in water. Using a 10x10mm four-way colorimetric dish, strict pairing is not required to reduce data errors in the results. The ambient light has minimal impact and is easy to operate.
Working principle
The pulse modulation (PAM) fluorescence detection technology for chlorophyll abundance is selected, which is also the mainstream indicative rapid detection technology internationally. It is very consistent with the detailed staining microscope analysis results and is consistent with the technology types used in European and American countries, with high comparability.

Low technical requirements for operators
Simple pre-processing program
Objects for rapid detection
Most of the pre filters in the ballast water management system filter out plankton larger than 50 μ m and a small amount of phytoplankton, so the remaining samples will use phytoplankton (planktonic algae) with particle size distribution between 10-50 μ m as the detection object.
Testing process
Enter the vessel and cabin number
Enter the vessel and cabin number
Take 3mL of water sample and place it in the sample vessel
Press' Measure 'and wait for 1 minute
Ø Displaying 'RISK=LOW Low Risk' indicates passing indicative testing
If the content in the water sample is high, the instrument will prompt 10 μ m filtration before retesting
Ø The final display shows' Risk=HIGH ', There is a high possibility that ballast water cannot pass through
Finally displaying 'FAIL', The ballast water is not qualified
Ø Displaying 'RISK=LOW Low Risk' indicates passing indicative testing
